The project goal is to develop design of the door fixing elements, placed on the side of fuselage and includes the following steps:

These activities are related to all the details and units, located on the load bearing elements of the fuselage in the area of aircraft door opening zone (the interface area), and ensuring the work of the doors in normal mode in case of emergency landing, urgent aircraft leaving, with or without use of rescue ladder.

In addition to it the area of ECAR responsibility icludes the following list of works: The same level of responsibility has been rested on ECAR in design in the door area for the bulk loading (bulk door).

From the start of the project several engineers worked in close cooperation with the AIRBUS team, studying the functional purpose, the principles of interface components, kinematic schemes of door operating gears, master geometry.

New connection principle of adjustable fittings of an aircraft PAX doors which are placed on fuselage side was proposed by ECAR engineers. This design solution has been patented by AIRBUS.
